Dua Lipa is an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on 22 August 1995. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. It reached the top 3 spot on the U.K. Charts and released 8 singles. These included Be The One I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. number one single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. #1 single New Rules. Lipa won an award at the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Her album has been certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian heritage via her mother's grandmother. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town of Peja. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan band Oda. In the family, her father would continue to perform music, including own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics.
